At Make-A-Wish, we regularly recruit board members, staff and volunteers. This section gives some tips on the recruitment process for all positions.
As an example in the position description:
We at Make-A-Wish adhere to our code of ethics and good conduct. As a member of the staff or as a volunteer, you will be expected to adhere and live out the values and expected behavior described in this code.
Examples of questions:
Describe a situation when you encountered unethical conduct, and how you responded to this.
Unethical conduct is not just about criminal actions; how would you define unethical conduct?
Or give examples of unethical conduct.

Then think about when you have encountered unethical situations. This can be from past experience in another organization.

Many affiliates already use our standard conflict of interest and ethics statement. The new version incorporating the adherence to the code is downloadable below (document #5).
You can also set up your own online form for your affiliate, in the same manner as the last page in the International online code of ethics. If you are not sure how to do this, please contact the International office marketing team. Please do not ask your organization to sign on the International code of ethics document (this is for affiliates, represented by the chairs and CEOs).
